Dating Story laid at Baywatch
In The red corner is one of Hollywood’s rare happy families – Baywatch millionaire David Hasselhof, his beautiful actress wife Pamela Bach and their two little girls.
In the blue corner – and it’s a very blue corner – is convicted felon Rayce Newman, who once earned a living dealing cocaine to the stars and now aims to earn a crust by writing about them. And the referee is likely to be a Los Angeles judge, as David and his wife prepare to sue over claims that Pamela was a high-class Hollywood hooker who had sex with so many stars she was nicknamed Galaxy.
Newman’s bombshell book, The Hollywood Connection, is due out in January. In it he alleges that Pamela, 33, shared an apartment with another prostitute in fashionable Marina del Rey, California, and that he lived with them for several months during the 1980s. He claims Pamela drove a new BMW and wore expensive jewellery bought with money earned as a call girl before she married David in 1989.
Newman, 34, says: “She had sex for a good time, and for money. At the time she met David Hasselhoff, she had just broken up with her boyfriend. They had first met when the boyfriend allegedly hired her for sex(adult swingers) through Hollywood’s popular Madam Alex. “I don’t know if David ever found out that Pamela was a hooker, but after this book, I guess he’ll know the truth. That’s Hollywood.”Hasselhof is outraged by the smear. The 43-year-old star of the world’s most popular TV show has vowed to defend his wife and protect their daughters Taylor, 6, and Hayley, 3.
He said last night: “My wife is suing for slander and defamation of character and I am confident that she will be vindicated in the courts.I apologies to my wife and children that this garbage has to enter our wonderful marriage and family.” And Pamela said: “I can take it when people tell lies about me, but when those lies threaten the well-being of my two darling daughters, that’s when it’s time to fight back. These statements are not true, and I’m speechless as to why anyone would make up such a thing. It’s crazy. “I met Rayce Newman only once at a girlfriend’s house and barely said ten words to him.I remember feeling creepy just from spending time around him. “I have never lived in Marina del Rey and I certainly was never a prostitute.
“When I moved to Los Angeles from Oklahoma, I lived with my grandma. Later, I rented half a room with a girlfriend in a cheap little apartment. “I owned a junk heap of a car, a Pontiac Sunbird. In fact, I have proof that I sold it in 1988 for a measly $1,000. “During the time this man says I was a prostitute, I was working regularly as an actress.
“I worked a lot, with both speaking parts and as an extra on shows like Knight Rider and The Fall Guy (casual women). To make ends meet, I worked as a waitress, as a messenger at a tale-vision station, and as a receptionist at a law firm. For a while I collected unemployment benefit. I was never a prostitute.
“It’s absolutely crazy. I don’t know why this man would make up these vicious stories about me. I can only assume that he’s motivated by money and wants to get some publicity for his book. “I’ve learned to deal with the downside of being a celebrity as much as anyone can. But this is just too much. “To call me a prostitute is the worst thing you can do to a woman.
“I’m a wife and a mother in addition to being a working actress. I’m deeply offended that anyone might try to get ahead by making up lies about me. “But forget about my feelings. And forget about my husband David’s feelings. “We have two beautiful(free dating) little daughters. What about them? “What is my daughter Taylor, who’s just starting school, going to think when a kid comes up to her and says something mean? Fortunately for me, I’m married to a wonderful man.
“David pulled me close and let me cry on his shoulder. He was totally supportive and absolutely fantastic. “He held me and told me everything was going to be all right. He told me he loved me. “David said: ‘Whatever you want to do about this, I’m with you. If you want to hide and not talk to anyone, I’m there. If you want to go public and fight this horrible lie, I’m there by your side’.” But as David and Pamela prepare to sue, an unrepentant Newman is ready for them. He says: “I stand by my stories about Pamela Bach. I used to live with her.” Seconds out.
